Hooray for Resident Doctor!

Lerin spent the night again but Dori is trying to squeeze in some sleep next to her big sister. Just like when they were little girls sharing the same bed because they were too scared to sleep alone.

Sonnet and the kids got back  fro Yellowstone state park. and were waiting for us at home. They waited and waited.

They finally gave up and came into the hospital.

“Even if I have to turn around and go right back home, I want to see daddy.” said Sonnet. So our little room gets four more people jammed in . The nurses said they never saw this many people to visit one person at a time.

Ashley, Danny’s niece who is a medical student came to visit. By this time everyone coming in had to wear yellow isolation gowns because of danny having diarrhea and they hadn’t got the test results back yet. Ashley told us every gown cost $17 each. OIH! Are we going to have a killer of a hospital bill! We told her what was going on and she said that maybe we can grab a resident doctor and get him to pull some strings. So Dorian and Ashley flew out into the halls to hunt down a resident they could charm into sticking his neck. They found one and he did! Dr. Anrun Mathew did the impossible – he got Danny a spot on the biopsy schedule for the morning first up.

Danny was in the wheel chair rolling down the hallway already discharged and headed home, when we got the good news. We were thrilled. The nurse was NOT thrilled. She was pissed!

“Oh now I’m going to have to call transport again.” she complained.

Later in the evening I heard her yelling at poor scared Doctor Mathew for doing that. It inconvenienced her but he’ll never know how much we appreciated it. Even though we told him a hundred times.

The transport did come with a gurney for Danny to take him down for a ultrasound to find out exactly where his liver was located. Quite a parade we are! By this time there are 8 of us!
